Kate had been on him to see a doctor from the first day he’d started feeling under the weather and while he knew she was right, he was too stubborn to admit that he was sick. If he hadn’t sliced his hand on his table saw after sneezing that morning, he probably wouldn’t have gone at all, but things happened and now he was home, lying in their bed, waiting for her to get home while dozing in and out with their dog next to him. He wasn’t sure what time it was when he woke up, but he was too tired to pick up his phone and see what time it was, so he just stared at the ceiling until he heard her come in.
“Babe? Any chance I can convince you to hit me over the head with a brick so hard that I don’t wake up until I don’t have the flu anymore? Just a thought.”
