so I’ve just discovered a Word statistics tool called “readability” that determines how “readable” your writing is. whether or not readability is a good or a bad thing is up to you, but I find it super interesting, so I’ve decided to create a writer and/or fic writer meme out of it! you can get instructions on how to turn it on here for PC or here for Mac. (unfortunately, you kinda have to click “ignore” through the spelling/grammar check to get the stats. just ignore that.)
copy and paste the above into a new document, and then fill in your “readability” for your five most popular fics (in terms of notes, kudos, comments, or hits, that’s up to you), and/or your current WIP if you have one. [or if you’re mostly an original-stuff writer or are in school, you can test that stuff instead!] then tag five writers! let’s see if there’s a correlation to what Word deems “readable.” :-)
I’m tagging @eclecticmuses, @bookishandbossy, @unbreakablejemmasimmons, @katemacetak, @fitzsimmmonsy :-)
(feel free to ignore this if it doesn’t interest you or you don’t have time - I’m just weird and like stats abt my writing, haha)
here’s mine, in order of kudos:
The Storm Inside (~116k)-
The Event Horizon (4.3k)-
Current WIP, Fantastic Beasts (~23k)-
BONUS - an academic paper I wrote last year (~5k)-
