Till Death Do Us Part

The day after Jack was found out to be with Katherine, he was severely punished by the Pulitzer family. He was whipped almost to death, and would probably have scars on his back for the rest of his life. This happened without Katherine knowing however, as she was sent to her room and was never aware of this event. For the rest of the week, Jack had tried to do his best to stay away from Katherine unless he really needed to be. @kathbyline

"I have a gig for you and your band if you can give me 5 minutes of your time!" Katherine said over the noise of the crowed trying to keep the limited attention she had of the namesake of the Band. "I have connections. Trust me."

Donny looked at the girl who’d said the magic words: I have a gig. Even now, when they had clubs calling every time they had an opening, Donny always had an ear out. After all, a gig’s a gig.

“I’ll be there in a minute.” After a few more autographs and commiserations over serving, he made it to the young woman. “All right, you got me listening,” he said with a smile.

"I'm officially 6 months today." Katherine told Medda pressing her hands against her stomach with a smile. "I feel like it's time to ask you, will you be my baby's god-mother?"

Medda placed a hand of her chest, feeling the warmth spread through her heart at the request.

“Oh, sweetheart. It would be my pleasure. But, are you sure you want me to be the child’s god mother? Not your sister or a close friend?”

It was true that Katherine and Medda had grown close these last few months. She figured working (and living) together would do something like that. As open as the girl had become with her, she wasn’t expecting this.

Katherine pulled her skirt up as she stepped out of the carriage and on to the muddy ground just outside her lovely country mansion. It was surrounded by acres of grass and apple trees, their horses grazing in the field next to the barn. She loved to ride horses. Espically when Jack took her. He was rather quite, but he was nice, and she had known the boy since they were young. "Thank you Jack, there's mud in the carriage seats you'll want to clean that up." She told him.

Jack smiled at the girl as she got out of the carriage. He’d always had a crush on her since he started working here, and it only got worst as they grew up together. He knew that he would never be with her, as he was just a stable boy that worked for her and her father. “I’ll make sure ta get on that.” He made a mental note to clean off the seats, after he finished all of the rest of chores he had to do for today.

"Please hold still." Katherine said to the man on the stretcher, his black hair plastered to his forehead with sweat, blood trickling down the side of his face. "Mr Kelly please." She felt another bomb go off in the distance, it vibrated under her feet. Whoever said war was hell was right, but either way, she would help fight to keep Germany from winning. (WW2 AU)

He couldn’t hold still, however. He was in a lot of pain and it wasn’t easy for him. It also wasn’t helping his case that his younger brother was still out there fighting, and Jack wasn’t out there to protect him. “I-I’m trying!” He wanted to hold still, but every time she tried to help him, he flinched away.

"I'm sorry I don't know what's wrong with me!" Katherine shouted back at him, shaking. Twice now. Twice she'd been pregnant and twice things had gone very, very wrong. She was hurting in more ways then just emotionally. She could feel the pressure of the whole kingdom on her.

Jack sighed, running a hand through his hair, before gently rubbing her arms. “Katherine, nothin’s wrong with ya…Neither of those times was ya fault, i’s promise.” He was just as sad as she was when he’d found out she lost the last two children they were going to have, but he was a little better at holding back his emotions. He wanted children, but at this point he was scared of something happening to Katherine, considering the two children did make it themselves.

Kisses Never Lie

It had been one of the worst nights of Sarah Jacob's entire life. She has gone to a party with her brother, to celebrate the official end to another year of high school. They were going to be senior next year and neither of the Jacobs siblings had found a soulmate yet, unlike some of their other friends. The two's wrists were empty. The party was fun for a while, packed with all of their closest friends and plenty of booze. Of course, Sarah and Davey didn't have any, but some people had convince Davey to play spin the bottle with them. Why he said yes was still a mystery to Sarah. The point being, Davey had to kiss Jack when the bottle landing on him, causing each other's names to appear on their wrists. Sarah was on the edge of tears as she ran upstairs to an empty bedroom in the house. @kathbyline

"All of your other dancers do it! Why can't I? I'm not afraid of men. I could do that… it would get me more money."

“Katherine, I thought we’ve been over this.”

Medda said with a sigh.

“Those girls have no other choices in the matter. I would rather you not.”
