Flashback to a few renders from a few years ago. These were plans or more so the idea that the old automated toilets at queens gardens could make way for a new entrance and cafe/pavilion into the lower gardens. . The 4th image is the masterplan for St George's walk. I'm not sure this cafe/pavilion is something the residential Taberner house developers/council are going with but with the idea to create Croydon's 1st publicly owned public sq on Katherine St (as seen in the 4th render) this would create great flow. . If you think about it the entrances to the gardens are indirect from that area and the redevelopment of Croydon has a strong theme of stitching each area together hence the new super crossings on Wellesley rd, the 24hr passage through Westfield and the eventual route from college rd by the railway lines into college green. . What do you guys think? Do you like this idea?
