A little while ago, I beat Kathy Rain. You play as Kathy, who is in college and has to attend her Grandfather's funeral. After the funeral, she reconnects with her grandmother and the town that she use to live in. Upon hearing stories about her Grandfather and talking with the Townsfolk, there is something strange about how he spent the rest of his life leading up to his death. Si hay un género que me enamoró desde el primer momento, hace casi treinta años, es el de las aventuras gráficas. Y si hay un subgénero de éste al que nunca he terminado de «pillarle el punto», es el detectivesco; Quizá demasiado «crudo», argumentos demasiado densos, intimistas y poco fantasiosos. Quizá por malas experiencias con títulos concretos que hacía que prefiriese aventuras más disparatadas, en las que resolver los puzles uno tras otro era la premisa fundamental, casi la única. Pero Kathy Rain ha conseguido que rompiese esa barrera después de tanto tiempo. Es posible que el camino hacia la fantasía (sin entrar en muchos detalles) por los que atraviesa la protagonista, es lo que ha hecho que no vea esta aventura como una simple resolución de un caso de investigación al uso; Esto sin duda le da una vida al juego que hace que si en algún momento para ti ha empezado a «caer», se levante de inmediato. No puedo describir mucho más sin destripar partes del argumento, así que terminaré diciendo que lo juegues sin prejuicios, ni sobre las aventuras gráficas en general ni en concreto con las de ningún corte determinado. No te defraudará en absoluto.
