"Are you really not going to tell me what's up with that Lexa girl?"

Clarke rolled her eyes and ignored Octavia's question for the third time.

"Fine, be that way. I'll just assume you're madly in love with her and you facebook stalk her every day."

"What? No. I'm not you."

"Make fun of me all you want, at least it got me laid."

"I’m not trying to get laid!"

Octavia laughed and shook her head. "Well, you clearly need it."

"I don't! I just...," Clarke let out a sigh and pushed one of the adoption forms for Octavia to see. "I have to do a follow up soon and I'm nervous I guess."

"Why? Because you liiiike her?"

"Maybe. Shut up. She probably doesn't even remember me."

"Nu huh. Pity parties are not allowed here. You're gonna call her, schedule a follow up, and you're going to seduce the hell out of her, okay?"

"Since when do I take orders from you?"

"Since the day you became weak for girls."

"Shut up."

“Clarke, honestly, I just want what’s best for you. You’ve been hung up on this girl for weeks now and we both know you can get it, so what’s the problem?”

“The problem, dear sweet Octavia, is that I acted like a complete idiot when she adopted Fabio and now she’s going to think I’m a dork forever. Did you know it takes sixty additional meetings to change a first impression? Sixty, O. I’m really better off just quitting while I’m ahead.” Clarke flopped backward on the couch with a huff.

“No.”

“Excuse me?”

“I said no, I’m not letting you give up like that! Now stop whining, get your ass off the couch, and go set up in the park, you’re running late enough as it is. We’ll figure out a game plan to tackle this Lexa situation when you get back.”

“Wait, running late? What time is it?” The blonde sat up and pulled out her phone. “Shit, you’re right, I should have left fifteen minutes ago. Help me load up the dogs?”

Octavia rolled her eyes. “Yeah, sure. You know, we could always call Lincoln in to help. Maybe he’ll ‘forget’ his shirt again.”

“You are seriously the thirstiest person I’ve ever met.” Clarke hip-checked the brunette on their way out the door. “Now stop daydreaming about your boy’s abs and get to work.”

Lexa handed the completed forms back to Clarke, who glanced at the front page and laughed.

“Is something funny?” Lexa asked.

“No, it’s just—your last name is Queen.”

“Yes? And?”

“I mean—Alexandra Queen? It’s a little funny.”

“I fail to see how my full name is amusing.”

“Well, I—you’re right. Never mind, let me go get Fabio.”

“Excuse me?”

“The dog you’re adopting? We named him Fabio.”

“Oh. Right.”
