No more pics from Witches of East End, sadly, though we did go see the town hall where they filmed Joanna’s courtroom scenes, but we couldn’t go inside to see the actual rooms. We also looked for X-Files locations, but the ones that were on our route were either inaccessible or had changed so much it was hard to get good comparative pictures. :( I need to go back and find some scenes from the new eps!

(Other shows I’ve gone to look at filming locations and taken pics for, if there’s interest, are Remington Steele, Borgen, and Smilla’s Sense of Snow, and in my pre-tumblr days I’ve looked for Stargate SG-1, Xena, and Lord of the Rings - pics from those are probably kicking around LJ somewhere... maybe I should do a #TBT post and bring them over to tumblr some time!)

It was done in a way that don’t freak me out like the rest of this years death. I didn’t even think of the trope when it happened…I actually think they gave her a good send off. Let’s be serious here, there are a LOT of LGBT in that show. I know I’m going to get some hate messages from this, but in the case of OITNB if an inmate dies the message of her death shouldn’t be that she was LGBT… It should be what the producers intended - about the abuses of the staff 

No hate, but for me they didn’t just kill off a character who happened to be one of the many LGBT+ characters on the show. They killed off one half of a happy couple they had been slowly developing throughout the season. Despite their bumps along the road, Poussey and Brooke were one of the few rays of sunshine this season, and possibly the only happy couple we’ve had in years (I can’t actually think of another off-hand). And so, of course, they killed one of them, because heaven forbid a lady lovin’ female couple be allowed a little happiness on TV these days.
