Captain Swan AU - It Was Always You

When Emma Swan caught his eye, Killian approached her wanting to get to know her better. He thought he’d never get a chance with her, thinking he wasn’t her type, so he settled for being her friend. They became best friends and were inseparable. Apart from his brother Liam, Emma was the only other person who supported his decision to drop out of college and pursue his musical career.

They kept in touch, messaging each other, calling and chatting over Skype. When he became popular, he wrote many love songs, but no one knew they were all inspired by one woman, Emma Swan. He’d sent her VIP tickets wanting to share his success with her, and she never missed any of his concerts. Yet, he still kept his feelings hidden.

After a bad breakup that left her heartbroken, Emma realized how she felt about Killian. She wanted to meet him as soon as he was available, and he changed his schedule rushing on the plane back to Boston.

When she told him how she felt, he was speechless, for this was something he had always hoped for. Killian‘s lack of response was misunderstood by Emma, making her even more heartbroken. She immediately regretted her decision to tell him how she felt. As she started walking away, Killian came to his senses grabbed her by her wrist, and confessed that he’d been in love with her since the first day they met. To wipe away any doubts she may have he kissed her, and she replied in kind. It was their first kiss, first of many to come, and it marked the start of their happily ever after…
