Uso ngayon ang pahabaan ng listahan ng mga naging jowa kaya maraming tao ang naiinggit at napapasana all na lang.

Oo, sabihin na nating wala kang jowa pero h'wag kang ma-pressure at malungkot sa estado ng lovelife mo. Mas mabuti nang maging single kaysa mapunta sa maling tao.

Proverbs 21:19, "It is better to live in a desert land than with a quarrelsome and fretful woman."

And yes it is a blessing. In our culture, kapag tumanda kang dalaga o walang asawa, minalas sa pag-ibig ang tingin sayo ng mga tao but no! You got the RAREST gift from God! Only few people received this gift, and if you are one them, you are blessed!

1 Corinthians 7:32, "I want you to be free from the concerns of this life. An unmarried man can spend his time doing the Lord's work and thinking how to please him."

Because you are single, you can spend more time with God than to people who are committed. And having a late night talk with God is better than having a late night talk with your jowa.

Always remember, being single is a blessing. Kaya kapag may nagtanong sayo ng, "Ba't single ka pa?", then say this four words:

"Because I am blessed."

Seek Jesus first before anything else. And trust me, the loneliness of being single will never bother you.

Seek Jesus not seek jowa.

H'wag puro blessings!

Alam naman nating hindi maganda sa paningin ng Diyos kung puro Earthly things ang focus natin pero bakit doon pa rin ang focus ng iba? Kaso hindi na Earthly things ang tawag, blessings na.

Pansin niyo ba? Maraming nagshi-share ng mga Bible verse about love, peace, blessings, pero minsan ka lang makakita ng Bible verse tungkol sa suffering, persecution, common sins na dapat i-avoid, at mga sermon na nangri-rebuke. Ba't ganto? Kasi sa blessings sila naka-focus.

Hindi ko sinasabing masama manghingi ng blessings pero kapag sumobra, abusado ka na. Paano yun? Masyado kang naka-focus sa regalo at hindi sa Nagbigay. Masyado kang naka-focus sa kung anong hihingiin mo at hindi sa bagay na kayang mong ibigay. (Time, Ministry, Obedience, Glory, etc.) Masyado kang naka-focus sa ideyang bayad na ang mga kasalanan mo kaya magbubulakbol ka na!

Naaalala mo lang si God kapag may magandang nangyari sayo o kapag kailangan mo ng tulong. Pero naalala mo ba siya nung hindi mo napigilan ang galit mo? Nung bigla kang napamura? Nung nagpakalasing ka? Nung sinuway mo mga magulang mo? Nung inuna mo module kaysa sa devotion? Nung puro ka selpon tapos tinatawag ka na Niya?

Ginagamit mo lang si God para magkaroon ng magandang buhay pero ayaw mong magpagamit sa Kan'ya para sa glory Niya. O para palaguin ang ministry Niya, mag-spread ng Gospel, mag-preach sa mga naliligaw. Bakit? Kasi takot kang ma-persecute at magdusa. Gusto mo lang ng kumportableng buhay!

You keep asking blessings but still living in a fleshly way. That's a gold digger!

Now, I'm gonna stop here for I can not judge you. Just ask this questions and evaluate yourself.

1. Do you worship God for His glory or are you just worshipping Him for blessings, guidance, and security?

2. Is your life devoted to Jesus or devoted to His blessings?

3. Do you worship God because He is God or because you think that if you worship Him, you'll be blessed?

4. Do you want to go to Heaven to see God or to just escape Hell?

5. Do you really love God or just love the idea that you love God?

The Bible tells us to guard our hearts. Do not be greedy, even in blessings.

Additional note, focusing too much in sermons is not also healthy because you will become a perfectionist Christian who will be blinded with the idea that you are the most righteous person of all for sermons reveals so many things to you. So, what you need to do is balance you Christian life.

God does not want a gold digger, nor a perfectionist, but a Christian who will truly love Him and will glorify His name wholeheartedly.
