She had only met the woman briefly after she was introduced at another random royal event that included her half-siblings, father, and stepmother, and many other family members she didn’t know. Katrien had seemed nice enough, and in fact, Sofia had hoped she would have gotten to spend more time with her, but like most royal functions there was a proper way of doing things and snagging the princess’s arm and running to town for a girl’s trip wasn’t one of those things.
However, Khatanga had it’s own set of rules, and seeing Kat sitting several chairs down at the large dinning room table, gave Sofia an idea. Finishing her meal, she pushed back the chair and took the long trek from one side down to the end and back up to meet her cousin. Whether they were blood or not, it didn’t matter, “Excuse me. Katrien, yes? We met briefly a couple of years ago. I believe you are the sister to my cousin, Matthias?” A warm smile graced her face hoping she hadn’t just made a fool out of herself.
☄ Leaning your head on their shoulder while they talk.
Mun Note: Kat’s a darling bb, but she’d not my character, so nothing here should be taken as cannon unless Jayme says so~ [PS, A number of liberties were taken~]

It had been a fairly calm spring day in Khatanga, at least thus far. Matthias had been spending most of the day with tutors and advisors which left Solveig open to accompanying Kat down into the village. What had started as a coffee and pastry run in the morning and become a full day extravaganza of shopping, sweets, and exploring. Where those two were concerned though, that wasn’t terribly surprising. Katrien was like the little sister Solveig had always wanted and she took every opportunity she could to spend time with the girl.
After they finally made it back to the castle in the mid-afternoon, arms and bellies full they collapsed in Kat’s room. There was a chaise lounge that Solveig normally sat on while in the girl’s room for whatever reason. Usually it was because she was waiting on her to be ready to go somewhere, though on occasion it was after trips like the one they’d had today.
After dropping the bags she was holding on the bed, Kat plopped down next to Solveig with a huff, slouching just a tad in the seat. “I think I had too many cream puffs.”
“Ugh, I do not even want to hear the word ‘cream puff’ right now,” Solveig agreed with a groan. They had been so good that neither girl had been able to stop themselves. They must have eaten at least six each.
The other girl laughed softly and Solveig couldn’t help but smile to herself. Kat slouched down a little more, resting her head on Solveig’s shoulder as she gave her eyes a rest and let them slip closed. “Tell me a story, Sol.”
Solveig smiled, it wasn’t a terribly uncommon line from the girl. Solveig had been making up fantastic stories for her of good versus evil since they were both young. Though the requests had gotten fewer and fewer as she had gotten older. “Once, a very long time ago...” she began, letting the words carry them both away.
Lucia looked up from the book she was reading and gave Thomas a small smile when she saw him. “Looks like you caught me,” she says with a small laugh. She was more of a private kind of person when it came to her free time, so a lot of it was spent reading new materials just to gain some extra insight of knowledge into an area or topic that she didn’t know too well.
The best things in her life are probably her siblings.
10. greatest regret?
Greatest regret was allowing her mother to put her into a betrothal and actually marrying said man.
11. biggest lie?
That she’s okay. She’s definitely not, and that she’s also straight. She is very much attracted to women as well as men.
12. biggest flaw?
Her biggest flaw is probably that she’s too obedient. She follows the rules too much and it has gotten her into trouble and an almost life or death situation because of it.
