Continued from: The gym-leader signals for his pokemon to follow his command. His Rapidash did as instructed, and walked up to the door- giving it a gentle bump, and shutting it down.Blaine had yet to look at the champion- his attention was entirely on the computer’s screen, which showcased some highly advanced calculus alongside with some coding. The fire-type specialist was in the middle of a research, and it is easy to tell how Steven’s presence definetly was nowhere near his priority in that moment. But they didn’t go unnoticed by the scientist. “Welcome Steven, I assume you have already seen what is left of Cinnabar island. This isn’t the new gym itself, that can be found in a cavern in this island.”“So what brings you here?”

It was rude of the Hoenn champion to come in giving orders, but it was a habit that the man had fallen into while fulfilling his duties. At least Blaine didn’t seem to be bothered by Steven’s presence, which would make this visit easier for the rock collector.
He glanced at the screen and was impressed by how advanced the gym leader’s research appeared. The silver-haired man showed little offense at the lack of priority that he held in Blaine’s interest. After all, he could relate to how easy it was to get caught up in research.
Steven gave a small nod, “I have noticed.” It had been quite some time since the man had last visited Cinnabar Island, so the drastic change had initially come as a surprise to the man. “Oh, so is this a personal office of sorts?” He glanced around the room before his gaze returned to the fire gym leader, “I’m just here checking in. It’s been quite some time since I’ve added anything from Cinnabar Island to my collection, so it seemed like an appropriate time to stop by.”
