I have written three yes you heard that right, three chapters of the jason medieval au ready for editing!! (Everyone say thanks to akotsk for the motivation) And BSN chap 10 is finally finished so have a quick sneak peek of it before I post it sometime this week. Plus a hobie req 😉
Also also the whole country can't open tumblr bc of some mistake on the internet providers side (im using a loophole that I'm too stupid to explain what it is hence why I can still open it) so if I don't appear for a couple of days you know why (knock on wood) if you need me my other socials are in my nav. Hopefully this gets resolved soon
“Didn't I already tell you everything you needed to know about him?”
“Please.” The owl leaves indents right on the skin of your thumb as you press on it tighter.
If she senses your nerves, she doesn't say anything, to which you thank her for. “Alright, princess.” Clearing her throat, the carriage moves from side to side without a sign of stopping. “Your husband is the heir apparent to house Wayne, they said that he's gallant, won a many tourneys before the age of six and ten. They also said that he's quite handsome, striking eyes that matches the sea beside their manor. He's young, kind, and handsome, your father found a perfect husband for you, princess, you need not worry. Some noble women have fared worse.”
“I know,” you swallow thickly, biting the inside of your cheek. “I consider myself lucky for that.”
Jason moves closer, not invading your space, or making you uncomfortable from his presence, just trying to get a glance of the book in your hands as his viridescent eyes look upon it briefly before returning to your face. “That's a good book you've chosen.”
“Have you read it?”
“I have.” He takes a breath, long fingers taking another book from the pile. “It's about a pirate and his lady love, it's full of twists and turns. I wouldn't spoil you much. It's quite a long read if you prefer reading the sequel to it too.” Taking a step closer, he hands you the book that's embossed with the same ship, only this one is decorated in silver instead of gold. It's just now that you notice a sharp scar right under his eye. “It's quite good.”
“No, I'm talking to the princess.” Damian huffs beside you, glowering at Jason.
“I think the princess wants you to stop talking instead of rambling to her about herbs and crickets.” Despite the bite, there's fondness in his tone.
“I don't mind, I think I'm in good company.” You turn your head towards Damian, smiling softly at the boy as he grins back at you genuinely.
“See? I told you that she's nicer than you!” Voice peaking, Damian narrows his eyes at his older brother.
“Because I'm that wretched for wanting you to be educated.”
“What do we do now?”
“Find the others. If we can’t, then we go back to the ship and wait—”
“Are you fucking kidding me?” A shrill voice echoes in the night. Lyla’s head appears from atop the bridge, leaning dangerously over it as she huffs. You and Hobie jump from the sudden intrusion, with him almost accidentally shooting at her. “Smooching under the bridge of sighs while we do the heavy lifting?!”
“Found them.” You say with a wobbly smile.
Hobie is clad in his armour, a dark whisper of shadows that pools around him in its embrace, mirroring your own gown that is made out of hell's shadows. It feels intimate, matching with your sworn knight, as if the wispy shadows are trying to find its match, slithering on the floor looking for its other half. His cloak comes alive even without a whisper of air in the space, it flutters windlessly, a dancing shadow that captures your eye. Suddenly, as if driven by a charm, your eyes roam up from his armour to his handsome face. Salt and pepper hair and a fine beard to match, russet eyes that demand your attention, and lips that you know all too well.
You're awfully distracted, and it's all his fault. And yet, he just stands there, doing his duty like any other day at court and in your presence.
Im also working on a dad robert req and a new part for the lyonel fic 🤭🤭
