“What?” Patrick asked absently, then realized Miranda was wielding the lost-puppy poster. “Oh,” he said hastily. “That’s nothing.”
“It is a lost puppy,” Miranda said.
Hailey gasped. “It’s what?”
Miranda brandished it for Hailey to see.
