“I don’t think you have the right to talk about good health, Mr. Nanaki. Regardless, I suppose one could claim that as an ‘addiction’… but I prefer to consider it nothing more than dedication to my cause.”

5: Does your muse have any phobias?
“When I was alive I wouldn’t say there was anything I really had a phobia of that wasn’t caused by the circumstances of my life. If you were hoping I would say something amusing like I have fear of spoons or squirrels then sadly I must burst your bubble and bring the mood down. After the attack loud noises are something I struggle very much with. Fireworks, bangs as a vehicle misfires, something metal being knocked over; all these make me have a moment of panic where my whole body stiffens and I feel a complete sense of panic go through me. Most of the time Hitori is fortunately close enough to be able to help me but sometimes i’m alone and…. well it’s quite hard. I want to cry and just curl up in a ball and hide.”
7: If your muse had the opportunity to turn into the opposite sex for a day, would they take it? If so, what would they do?
“Sure. I suppose I would. I mean, there’s not really any reason not to if such a rare opportunity is offered to me so easily. Life is all about experiences and the sorts of thing each person deals with is very individual to their own life. Even being the opposite sex can make a vast difference I imagine.
As for what I’d do? Well, you can rest assured I wouldn’t do anything overly perverse or exploit this chance. Perhaps I would go to a ladies only bathhouse and see what they are like. I have heard that some of them are much finer than the male only counterparts and offer chocolate and more luxury. I’d have to find out and have a true pampering session that would usually be out of reach. I guess it would be interesting to see if I would be treated any differently for being female too.”
12: What is your muse’s happiest memory from their childhood?
“My happiest memory is the day I came to the orphanage and met everyone. I was so small, barely past the point where I had more adult looking feathers than chick fluff in fact, so it is a little hazy but I remember enough of it to know I treasure that day. I had been so alone for a brief time and I was afraid of letting anyone unfamiliar touch my heart but… Well, I couldn’t help it. I loved them. They made me love them without even really trying. I found my true family that day. The most important people in my life. They saw me as their brother immediately so I did the same.”
17: How does your muse deal with their anger?
“Anger is something that, to the best of my ability at least, I internalise and try and hold back from. Of course I do get angry and annoyed, quite often in fact, but I try not to hold onto it for too long or let it affect me into saying or doing something in my foul temper that I might even partially regret after the time has passed. For the most part i bite my lip or tongue, frown and take a deep breath in to try and compose myself and get rid of my irritation. If I do feel bothered enough to make some kind of retort I try not to be too personal or cruel if I can help it. Better I say something snarky or sarcastic than actually hurtful. Perhaps... perhaps I want for two months. Perhaps I should settle for what I had and stop dreaming of the chance for more life.”

“Perfect,” Hitori murmured with a smile and gave a brief kiss to his boyfriend. “I need some time to prepare everything, so if you could come to my place around six, that’d be great. Nageki will stay the night with his friends so it’ll be just the two of us.” He brushed Shuu’s cheek with his thumb and leaned in for another kiss before taking a step back. Even if he really would have liked to stay with Shuu, he needed to get started with the preparations as soon as possible so everything would be perfect for the evening.

"What do you mean, you can’t do this? I keep telling you, this is money!” Cherche grumbled.
“I’m sorry, it just isn’t possible,” the desk manager said.
“Agh!” With that, she walked away, pocketing her gold and the knowledge that converting Valmese gold to yen on this planet was impossible. There was no way she was going to be able to enjoy her time in this town without money. As she huffed through the streets of Littledove Hachiman City she pondered her options: she could steal, as she had to have picked up a little knowledge from Gaius; she could literally kill a man if she had to, although these were innocents; or she could somehow get a job. Whether that job would have to be prostitution, she didn’t know, but any man who even tried to take advantage of her would be tied up, beaten senseless, and then fed to Minerva upon reboarding the Yomi.
A poster, taped to a wall and fluttering against its confines, caught her attention. While her Japanese wasn’t great, she was able to decipher enough of it to realize it was her financial salvation: a group running a cafe for a convention was looking for waitresses. Some of the words had thrown her off, but surely this couldn’t be anything too strange...
The next morning, Cherche found herself baffled when she was handed a maid costume by the boss of the establishment. “This is... frilly.”
“That’s because this is a maid cafe.”
Oh... so that’s what a ‘meido kissa’ was. That explained her difficulty understanding certain areas of the poster. “A... maid cafe, okay.”
“Yes. Now please go and get dressed. We'll be opening shortly.”
“Of course.” With that, she headed toward the impromptu dressing room that had been set up... but before she could begin pondering what working at a maid cafe would even include she saw someone who looked uncannily like that partridge-man on the ship. The only difference seemed to be his height... well, and the smile. She pulled her eyes away after a few moments, but she kept looking back; if this doppelganger was anything like Iwamine Shuu her time at the maid cafe was going to take a level in danger.

Morty was still trying to make sense of his surroundings, and the panicked look on the man before him’s face made him build up some real anxiety about this whole situation. Oh geez, he just wanted to get back home... Or at least be found again by Rick, but he was readying up for this being a wild ride. Like it so often became.
Why would anything in life be easy?
“Uh... Okay, uh, wow, that’s a... that’s a good question... M-m-most of all I’d like to get inside, s-somewhere, I-I-I don’t want anyone to see me and... I dunno, c-call the... bird police or whatever.”

Well, this looked bad. Shuu immediately went and got a bucket ready as soon as they made any indication that it could be necessary, placing it by the bed. “Please try to get some rest, yeah?” Hopefully, they’d feel better after a good nap. If not, well it was probably off to home, by the look of things.
Their only reply was another weak groan, but they did oblige despite the sweat that littered their body, clothes damp and clinging to their back. More than once, they rolled over to feebly vomit into the bucket. The second time, they promptly faint.
It was not until near the end of the school day did they regain conscious. They were no longer sweating, but the pounding in their head persisted. How long was she out?
