LAZY OAFS FLORAL SHIRT : RATING - 4.5 STARS

Ah boy. Lazy oaf - my first love. Lazy Oaf is a London based fashion label designing bright bold clothing and accessories for men and women. Founded by designer Gemma Shiel in 2001, the brand started as a small run of men's T-shirts hand-screen printed in Gemma's dads garage and sold on a market stall in Spitalfields. 11 years on and their designs can now be found on their website (www.lazyoaf.com) , and a independent Soho boutique in London and in over 250 stores worldwide. What started as a small T-shirt collection has now evolved into a complete product range with knitwear, outerwear, shoes and stationery recently added to the ever-expanding Lazy Oaf line.

 I completely fell in admiration for lazy oaf back in 2012, yet being a teenager, i could not afford such high priced garms. But recently I bought this lazy oaf floral shirt along with a few other bits, with the final cart price summary coming to £230. Jeez. Although - it was totally worth it. The shirt has a structured cotton base with engraved buttons, feeling super smooth and long-lasting.

The design reminded me of children's drawings, which i guess was the aspect which attracted me. Lazy Oaf collections are notoriously colourful, cartoon-focussed and always with an element of weirdness. Their design philosophy is not trend driven but focused on our unique directional vision referencing street wear and youth nostalgia. All round, this shirt is INCREDIBLE for fun nights out or for reaching your arty crafty aesthetics. I have worn this shirt about 10 times now, the design hasn't faded one bit, and its also kept its shape-which is astonishing for something which came out of my mums scary washing machine. 

My only problem with the shirt is that i bought it for £53, but is now in the sale for £25. Damn. So my advice would be, when it comes to Lazy Oaf, buy their limited edition stuff (because they won't be in the sale) but any actual items made by lazy oaf themselves, wait for them to go in sale.

STUPKIDS ‘OMG’ TROUSERS - RATING : 4 STAR

Ok so the first item I'm going to talk about is a clothing piece by stupkid. Stupkid is a new clothing brand based in Jakarta, Indonesia. It brings out an idea to provide young adults and teenagers our quirky and edgy clothes. I didn't officially buy this from stupkid as by the look of things, their items are heavily priced (including shipping costs). So i was overjoyed when i found this gem on Charlie Barkers Depop account, selling these for just £10. When the item came (which was really quickly thanks to charlie's 1st class shipping - heck yea!) I was surprised at how long they actually were, I'm 5'9 and these were hanging just below my knees. Although in the picture attached, Charlie's are surprisingly far longer.

The fabric is super great quality; its quite stretchy, but still manages to pull off the 'tailored' trouser look. At first i was a bit worried about what people would think of when they saw the classical, cringy, large 'OMG' embroidered onto the front - but then i realised i needed to make it seem ironic (as thats Charlie's typical styling). I managed to put together a great outfit consisting of these trousers, a black turtle neck jumper (bought from Topshop for £15) and some black creepers (bought from depop for £13). No colour whatsoever apart from the white OMG. I really, truly, achieved the look of 'goth princess'. All together my outfit costed me £38. Not bad.

A NEW START

Hello! So although this blog is a bit of a mess at the moment, I thought i'd give you a little introduction into what my aims are for this blog and why i set it up. Basically, I'm a angst teenager who has nothing better to do but to find crazzayyy outfits inspired by many of my role models, including people like Charlie Barker, Joanna Kutcha and Elizabeth Bishop . I hope to review, find amazing products and also just talk about good outfits and beauty 'tools'.

This is now the sister blog of http://objectifiedclothing.blogspot.co.uk . I decided i would expand  to tumblr now too, as i want as many people to find the wonderful clothes i will be showing you.
