𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 : this was written before the official release of the rsa characters so the way twst!merryweather is written might be ooc for future readers!

𝐚/𝐧 : i’m of the belief that this mysterious dude is twisted from merryweather, so i wrote it as merryweather if that’s okay! i truly think that lilia possesses traits that are similar to flora and fauna, so i think it would make perfect sense if this boy is based off of merryweather. please enjoy! :)

𝐭𝐰𝐬𝐭!𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐮𝐲 𝐭𝐨… adore you more than anything in the world. it took sometime to come to terms with the fact that he had come to enjoy your presence more than most, and even longer to confess his own feelings to you. now, he often wished that he had uttered those words earlier. in areas of his personality where he lacked decorum, you were there to seal in those patches and create something even more special than what he could do alone. he feels very grateful that you have stayed with him for as long as you have.

𝐭𝐰𝐬𝐭!𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐮𝐲 𝐭𝐨… believe that you look best in the color blue. this, of course, is a primary color; meaning that it is obliviously the most beautiful and regal color. it is also the color of the sky, the color of the waves, and the color of hydrangeas. most importantly, it is his signature color. you’d match if you decided to go along with his pleas for you to dress in blue. though, if you decided to dress in the color, he’d use his magic to change it right to blue. he has an exceptional dislike for that color. (pink, of course)

𝐭𝐰𝐬𝐭!𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐮𝐲 𝐭𝐨… put down his magic wand for you and be in the moment. often, magic is used for convenience’s sake — to make matters more efficient. he is no stranger to this, in fact he takes pride in being able to perform such things. but, being efficient can take from enjoyment. he once thought that cooking and cleaning were borish tasks to complete, but with you they have somehow become more manageable. perhaps it is because he has finally found someone that can keep up with him.

𝐭𝐰𝐬𝐭!𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐮𝐲 𝐭𝐨… insist he help with various tasks, and doesn’t allow you to overwork yourself. just as he is strict with his own self when it comes to completing his tasks for the day, he is strict in not letting you faint from exhaustion. it might only be a minute into dusting the library together that he tells you to sit down and let him handle the rest. he wouldn’t want you falling and hurting yourself, especially when you have a date planned for later that day.

The Reluctant Princess

Based on The Reluctant Bride 1866 by Auguste Toulmouche✨ a friend of mine suggested this prompt, and really popped off with this concept. The saddest part sleeping beauty is when her godmother‘s take her to the castle and prepare her to be a princess. They try to reassure her but she has just been stripped of her identity and agency. She never wanted to be a princess. So I have Flora, giving her a reassuring kiss on the forehead, Fauna imagining out loud what it would be like to be a princess, and Merryweather is the only one who actually sees Briar Rose’s sorrows and inner turmoil. I also added another master copy as a tapestry, (an illustration of Maleficent by Eyvind Earle) and it hangs quite literally over Aurora and adds an extra layer of foreboding.🖤 I stayed up till four in the morning working on this.🤠😂 It took me 13 hours total to finish it.

Do you think it's possible for Sebek's character to have partially taken inspiration from Merryweather? They're both the youngest of their respective group, the most outspoken, especially about things they don't like, and are also the ones who technically save their Aurora's from succumbing to the curse cast by their Maleficent's. The biggest difference is that Merryweather can't stand Maleficent while Sebek adores Malleus.

Possibly? I don't think that every possible thing about the Twst boys are meant to be callbacks or references to the original films (it sort of detracts from the boys being their own people), but I do see the similarities. It may just be a case of fans noticing the parallels; we probably will never know if the devs intentionally wrote Sebek to be like Merryweather.

And the doghead and its ever present smile has definitely grown on me haha, it adds to his sweet personality, but watching him in action raises my anxiety~ extroverts scare me with their energy !
