*The room they were in was... cozy, perhaps, at least in the terms of what cozy could be to Kayne. It seemed to be a bedroom, covered in beautiful dark woods at every corner- met with almost vibrant reds in the shape of sheets and curtains. It was littered with perfect furniture- soft seats, a stunning vanity and bookshelves around a beautifully centred bed, large with thin translucent curtains lining it. There were some golds around too, adding some additional colour to the room.

It was nice. And it was most certainly Kayne's.*

A Phoenix flapped through the woods and over canyons and around mountains. She knew what awaited her if she stopped. It wouldn’t be pretty and if she could help it, she wanted to avoid the familiar being’s wrath.

It wasn’t like she hasn’t done this before. She was given a task then she does it. Simple. Boom, bam, over with. She’d live with the regret later, knowing that she could’ve fought against obtaining the flesh longer, but that was for later in the “safety” of her cage.

*The funny thing, you see, is that most would assume that Kayne didn't often pay attention. And of course, while that appeared true, it wasn't. He didn't have to look up to acknowledge the things around him- and most certainly not the things that moved.

He didn't actually acknowledge the thing that had arrived, though, just simply knew it was there. Perhaps waiting to see what would happen.

His hand traced over the bark of trees as they passed by, leaving bloody smudges in every crevis- the amount on his hands never seeming to lessen.*

Oooh well hello there~ strange little thing, aren't ya? *Kayne's head tilted, tendrils of hair flicking and curling in a way that made him look just that bit more curious.*
