kaywhyelleee replied to your post “I have to give a speech.”
I want to read this. Please post it at some point haha
It is mostly an outline so I'm not worried about exact wording but i'll try to fix it up and post it!
Game/Survey from noquirkyurl
The Rules:
1. Always post the rules.
2. Answer the questions of the person who tagged you and write 11 new ones.
3. Tag 11 people and link them.
4. Let them know that they have been tagged.
1.What’s something you really, really like about yourself?
Oh boy. I feel like this should be an easy question. I have a really dirty sense of humor and a mouth like a sailor. I really enjoy whipping these out around people because nobody expects it from a librarian and it amuses me.
2. Do you have a favorite scary movie? If so, what is it?
No no a million times no. I cannot handle scary movies. I saw The Grudge with my best friend in high school and couldn't sleep for like two nights straight. It's ridiculous. God help me if it's a ghost one. I will never watch American Horror Story or anything like that for that reason.
3. Do you like rollercoasters?
No. They make me cry. Literally sob. I'm not sure what I dislike about them so much - the heights, the upside down, the loss of control, THE NEAR DEATH. But not a fan.
4. If the world was ending tomorrow, what is something you would regret not having done?
Hmm. I try really hard not to regret anything I've done. I guess...not telling people how I really feel. I have a bit of family drama going on and I'm sick of having to bite my tongue, while other people can spew out whatever nastiness they want and there are no consequences.
5. What is the name of the street you lived on when you were in 5th grade?
Scotch Pine Drive
6. What is the most disappointed you have ever been with the ending of a book, movie or tv show (episode or series) and how would you have done it differently?
Ok, so it hasn't ended yet, but I'm so disappointed with what's going on with The Big Bang Theory. In the beginning it was smart and funny and Penny was so much more than a borderline-alcoholic waitress who hardly goes on auditions anymore and keeps hooking up with Leonard who is pretty much a douchebag. I mean, I feel like she hasn't gone on an audition in a while, while still a waitress at the Cheesecake Factory, and they still haven't given her a last name! If that's not blatant disrespect for a character, not even being worthy of a last name, I don't know what is.
I would have had her stand up to Leonard for being a dick and nearly ruining Sheldon's career after Antarctica. I would have loved for it to play out like in The Paladin Protocol fanfic. IT IS AMAZING, GO READ IT, IT'S PERFECT.
7. If you had to eat just one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pasta. You can do a million things with it and never get tired of it. Though that may be my Italian upbringing rearing it's head. But I'd be perfectly content with pasta.
8. Is there a song that will always remind you of a person, time or place? What is it?
Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. It was hugely popular on the radio when I started dating my husband and we listened to it a lot, lying in bed and talking, getting to know each other.
9. Do you watch TV? If so, what is currently your favorite TV show?
Um, of course! I loooove TV. Right now I'm obsessed with Sleepy Hollow on FOX. It's the best show this year, I seriously love it. The characters are great, the story gripping, it's so much fun. I've been a bit disappointed in Agents of SHIELD, but I'm hoping that will pick up.
10. Who is your favorite character on Sesame Street?
I never really liked Sesame Street. I was more of a Winnie the Pooh (Eeyore!) or Mr. Rogers kind of girl.
11. Who is more manipulative – Nick Fury or Dumbledore?
Oh man. I have some feelings on this one. You sure you're ready?
Ok, so, I think it's definitely Dumbledore. I feel that not only did he manipulate Harry since the beginning, he manipulated Snape as well. He never told Harry exactly what he needed to know to succeed. With so much riding on this boy's shoulders, you'd think he'd be a little more forthcoming with information. Instead, he played mind games so he could be the all-knowing father figure and lord it over everybody else. He knew, he knew what would happen when he had Snape give Harry Occlumency lessons. He knew what kind of damage that would incur.
But the Snape thing really gets me going. How can you ask somebody to kill you? I get that he was going to die from the curse anyway, I do. But he pretty much felt that since Snape's soul was so marked upon already by his misdeeds, what was this one masquerading as a good deed? Also, he had to have looked the other way when The Marauders all ganged up on Snape constantly throughout their years at school. How was that ever a fair fight - 4 against 1? Huh? Tell me that! Or when Sirius lured Snape to the Shrieking Shack when there was a Werewolf Lupin? How was that overlooked?
Best question ever! I could have definitely made an argument for the other side!
i don't think I know of 11 people on here who would do this! I talk with some of my followers (and you know who you are and I love you to freaking bits!), but I dunno. So I don't think I'll tag anybody. But if you see this, answer these questions! They were fun! :)
Well, maybe I'll tag a couple. :)
