CONGRATULATIONS AND FÉLICITATIONS DOCTEUR JULIA !
THANK YOUUUU!
Hi! How are you? A few weeks ago (months?) I sent you an ask about sharks and heartbeats and cardiac monitoring. I don't know if you ever got it, or never had time time to answer, or plain didn't want to (which is totally ok!) Did you get it? *sending good thoughts for these hard times*
Hi! I’m good, how are you? I’m so sorry, I don’t remember seeing that ask — let me go back and see if I missed it, or if this hell site ate it lol.
I must say, I really do love your reactions to YJ's trailer! At this point, I don't know what's best: your keyboard smashes or the trailer itself... Gotta agree with you though: we need Lian in a stroller with a rattle/weapon of mass destruction while Mommy Jade and Daddy Roy fight people...
my keyboard smashes in response to anything yj are just Iconic at this point they’ve been 7 years in the making
Hi! I have a guilty pleasure: I love rereading 'A Lingering Feeling' from time to time. The Spitfire relationship is so well-written! I have a question though: in the 9th chapter, Joan says Artemis is another Greek goddess. I KNOW that the first time I read it it was so obvious who the other two were, but for the life of me, I only recognize Iris now. I'm too focused on Joan of Arc to think of Joan being anybody else. So who are the other goddesses ? I hope you are safe in these dark times!
omg i love it. i’m so glad ALF can always bring you happiness! that’s such a huge compliment thank you!!!
and yup, you’re right: iris is the “other” greek goddess in the family that joan’s referring to. i think the wording didn’t specify there were 3; so it’s just iris, and now artemis :)
i hope you’re staying safe too! and i’m good~ still working every day in my lab (finishing up my PhD this semester whooo) but it’s like a ghost-town here so if there’s a social distancing championship i think i would be a definite front-runner lol.
kazhloar replied to your post “something i’ve always wondered (and so far haven’t been able to find...”
I think part of it might be explained by SciShow's "Are those really Blackheads?" ?
good video for those who want to check it out!
so the video just states the pores on our noses are bigger, and the pores on our face secrete more sebum (side note i really hate that word). doesn’t really explain why though..
Good point. I. Can't. Stand. Coffee. Like, even the smell can be overwhelming. Funny thing is, my parents live off the stuff (7-10 big cups per day if they're at home all day) and yet, my brother, my sister and I can't stand it (even though my parents thought it would change for my brother and me as we're all grown up now). Bleh. You do drink coffee though, right?
Oh man i can’t live without coffee. i feel like my body’s become physically addicted to it D: definitely was an acquired taste though, so i can totally understand why you wouldn’t like it! tea tastes much better anyway :P
There's no mention of decaf or otherwise on my teas, not sure what I should look for. As for sleeping, meh, I'm pretty sure the fact I can't close my eyes before 3am is not due to tea (staying late on my computer more like). I've tried rooibos but I found it way too sugary for my tastes (I'm the kind that hate putting anything in my tea if it's not spices) so I dropped it. I've tried a few white teas but they were not strong enough.
ah! i think if it were decaf it would be labeled as such.
what about coffee? any opinion on that? or are you most definitely a tea-only person?
Wow, I really don't make the difference between caffeinated and decaf teas (thank you for teaching me something). I just know the colors, mainly, but I don't stray away from black teas, thus making my knowledge pretty limited. Thanks for the website, I'll definitely browse a bit!
No problem! be careful with the decaf though; some still contain a little bit of caffeine, and if you’re like me sometimes that’s enough to keep you awake longer than you’d like.
i like my black teas too! hey have you ever heard of rooibos tea? it’s a “red” herbal tea and it tastes pretty awesome with a dollop of milk. super great afternoon treat.
