Oh God! I really love your version of Kagami! ❤️ Can we get more from her please?
When Chloe accuses her of sitting in her seat, she blinks at her, pulls out her ticket, makes a huge show of reading the seat number, turns back to Chloe, and says, “Are you an idiot?”
Chloe gets riled to her usual levels of brattiness, but it’s only when she leans into Kagami’s space that Kagami gives her canon tirade. “Don’t touch me, don’t speak to me, don’t even look at me.”
Kagami doesn’t waste time with people trying to bulldozing her.
She is deeply amused by Adrien scrambling to find her a clean seat. Apparently he’s never been taught to dust off crumbs? But he’s trying to hard, it’s endearing.
By Animaestro Kagami has decided her feelings are platonic, almost familial. Adrien brings her joy, like a happy puppy that doesn’t see the harsh reality of the world, and she wants to preserve that joy. But she also wants to toughen him up so he can stand up for himself and won’t need Big Sis to stand up for him.
Marinette and Kagami are less antagonistic. Kagami would like a friendlier relationship with Marinette and being unaware of Adrien’s feelings for her thinks Marinette is just nervous around her because of their juxtaposing personalities. Marinette likes Kagami but that’s part of the problem. If there was something to hate about her, a reason she shouldn’t be with Adrien, it would be easy, but Kagami is almost made for Adrien (because she literally was let’s be honest) and Adrien really likes Kagami. So it’s really painful to be around them.
Too bad Adrien is hopeless and keeps trying to have them hang out because Kagami keeps asking about Marinette, dammit this is awkward, why are you both so freaking cute and friendly?!
Kagami isn’t confident enough in her ability to read people when it comes to romance, so she doesn’t try to push Adrien towards Marinette or vice versa. She’s still not sure if Marinette was the one to turn Adrien down or not, so she doesn’t feel comfortable trying anything. On the one hand, if Marinette is the one who turned him down, she’s being really insensitive by trying to monopolize his attention on outings and making him special macaroons and giving him parting letter at the train station. But on the other hand, if Marinette isn’t the one who broke Adrien’s heart, then they’d be great for each other. Only issue on that side is Adrien’s obliviousness.
Because this Kagami firmly believes that Adrien is just completely unaware of how much he likes Marinette in the event that she hasn’t already rejected him.
Dammit, this is why Kagami needs all the facts, who’s she supposed to root for if she doesn’t have all the tea?!
Though she firmly believes there is no hope for Chloe Bourgeois.
