Surgery always fascinated Kai. They would never go into surgery themselves but they loved to observe other surgeons in their element. It was better when they were actually down in the OR with them but Kai didn’t mind the view from the gallery. Watching Dr. Sloan work was a sight to see. He was meticulous, graceful and calm under pressure. It was a successful surgery. After the procedure, Kai made their way down to the OR floor to greet Dr. Sloan after his surgery. “Good morning Dr. Sloan,” they said, greeting him with a hot coffee. “I was hoping if you had some time today, I could pick your brain about your surgery.” @bcttcrthanrcvcnge

It had been a little over a month since Kai mysteriously showed up on the island. Since then, they found a job at the hospital, started renting a house on the beach, bought a surfboard and started growing pineapples. They were adjusting… sort of. It felt like something was missing. As they walked into the coffee shop this morning, they saw her and something just went off in their mind. Maybe she was what was missing? Maybe they needed another chance? “Hey there,” they said softly, walking up to her, forgetting about the fact that they were ordering coffee. “I was hoping to run into you sometime today.” @myhcneybees

The Beach in Sunset Cove | Open starter

It was strange, really. This whole thing. A second ago, they had just finished packing their bag to head back to Minnesota to pack for their move to London and went to sleep. Now, somehow, they wake up on a beach... their hotel room nowhere in sight. Kai looked down at themselves and let out a breath of relief that they weren't still in their pajamas. They somehow managed to get dressed and travel to a beach with no memory of it. Standing up, they look around and see a few people out enjoying their day, a few businesses along the shore and a city in the distance. Kai decided to walk up to the closest person by them and ask them exactly where they were. "Excuse me," they paused. "Could you tell me where I am?"
