Summary: Caroline did not expect that she would be working remotely when she started her first "real" job in the middle of a global pandemic. She also didn't expect remote meetings and chats with her co-worker, Klaus Mikaelson, to take such a steamy turn. Klaroline. One-Shot. M/F. Smut. Rated-M for a reason. AU/AH.
Why you should read: Okay, it is no surprise to ANYONE that I am recommending this fic. Why? Because I’ve gone on and on about it for the past two weeks since I learned the amazing and generous author is doing not just a part 2 but a part 3 WHERE THEY HAVE SEX IN A LOCATION OF MY CHOICE; but thats beside the point.
The point is, this fic is not just porn but it has a good bit of plot to it as well. Caroline gets a job at a law firm in England but then the pandemic hits. Her new job is able to allow her to work from home until she is able to come across the ocean. She moves back home with her mom, begins work and make a connection with Klaus over zoom, a company we all should have bought stock in.
Late night/early morning flirting and sexting occurs, until Caroline does the most mortifying thing that works for her advantage. I could tell you here but I’m not going to. Nope. Go read the fic, when you’re alone and need a bit of extra help just hitting that right spot.
The writing, as always by @idiot--wind, is on point and just real. The smut is fantastic and the world she created just feels so real. It makes me believe that in the shit show that was 2020, this had to have happened SOMEWHERE. Anyway, if you have not read this fic and my fangirling the past few weeks has not convinced you to read it, hopefully this review will.
Because it is so good.
