Hi angels!! I am back to my dear blog after a very very long time and I am ready to post more things for ya from now on!
Today I want to talk about how to glow up in winter and deal with winter depression and melancholy because with the changing weather and season, our feelings can be a little more overwhelming. Don’t worry, though! I am here to guide you through this!
ʚɞ Be careful about what you do
As I said in the beginning as well, winter can be quite depressing if you don’t use your opportunities.
First steps first is, being careful about what you watch, read or follow on social media.
The things we follow usually affect our mental. If you follow depressing people on social media or watch depressing movies, it’s a high chance of you to get depressed as well. So try to watch things that can increase your mood. I would recommend Gossip Girl, Gilmore Girls or The Vampire Diaries if you love dramatic and girly stuff!
ʚɞ Work on yourself, not others.
If you’re bad at focusing yourself and mostly focus on other people, then you should change it if you want to be happy on your own and have a positive life.
Stop caring and overthinking about what other people say, i know it’s easy to say but hard to do. But seriously, you’ll never be able to shut their mouth even if you give them the world. If someone wants to hate, they do. It’s simple.
Change your perspective and ask yourself: How can you improve yourself? How can you make your life more enjoyable?
Maybe you can try stating a new hobby, cooking/baking a new recipe, going shopping or making new friends. For example, I do ballet since I was a kid and it helps a lot! I also recommend pilates and theatre!

ʚɞ Try different styles
Don’t be afraid to try different things on yourself. You live this life for once!
Want a new hair colour? Do it! Want to change your clothing style? Do it!
Change is necessary sometimes because it feels like you are starting a completely different life. And since you feel like you’ve been refreshed, you’re really having a new mindset!
ʚɞ Skincare
As someone who has dry skin, I struggle a lot in winter because my makeup looks dry sometimes if i don’t moisturise it or use hydrating products.
If you have dry skin like me, I highly recommend Dior’s products because they’re hydrating and when I use them, I don’t even need to apply moisturiser.
But again, skincare is important and you should cleanse your face well and then moisturise it with lotions or rosemary oil/rose water! When I don’t want to use lotion, I use rose water and it helps a lot! It’s literally a life saver!
ʚɞ Take care of your health
If you’re someone who gets sick easily, don’t forget to choose warm clothes because being sick can be very damaging both physically and mentally.
Also, you can drink a hot cup of tea everyday since it helps with immune system.
If you take vitamins, make sure to take them. Vitamin deficiencies are a great trigger for sickness.
