With #Aliciasmarket closed until further notice due to a fire, KC Kitchen and Deli was a deliciously serendipitous plan B. Enjoyed their oxtail soup, despite the heat coming in the stuffy mid-eighties. 5 generous sections of tail, well-stewed in a beefy, savory broth with napa, Chinese greens, shiitake, and cilantro, served with 3 scoops of white rice. A dip-dip in the side of soy, then another in the minced ginger, and the oxtail disappeared faster than the ice in my diet soda. And I didn't even break a sweat.
