      no   it’s   not   weird   at   all   !!      tysmmm   for   asking   !!

         he   IS   attached   to   it   ,      yes   !!      i’m   always   worried   that   people   think   of   it   as   just   him   being   materialistic   but   i   think   it’s   more   than   that   ..      in   my   canon   ,      it   was   actually   his   nonna’s/grandmother’s   sweater   ,      and   he’s   had   it   for   YEARS   now.      like   ,      since   he   was   7.      euhh   nonna   was   a   very   important   person   in   his   life   until   she   passed   ,      she   took   care   of   ercole   and   took   up   the   role   as   guardian   and   caretaker   when   she   visited   when   he   was   younger   because   ercole’s   parents   were   doing   a   shit   job   ,      basically.      her   pink   sweater   seemed   to   be   something   she   wore   a   LOT   ,      nearly   everytime   she   visited   the   mansion   she’d   HAVE   IT   with   her.      she   always   let   ercole   wear   it   if   he   wanted   to   ,      if   he   got   COLD   ,      if   he   was   hurt   ,      she’d   wrap   him   in   it   and   tried   to   make   him   feel   better.      i   have   a   whole   DRABBLE   here   based   on   how   he   GOT   the   sweater   in   the   first   place   after   she   died   ..      granted   it’s   old   and   it   might   sound   like   trash   but   it’s   comprehensive   !      basically   though   ,      whenever   his   parents   went   to   nonna’s   house      (   in   central   italy   ,      &   this   would   be   around   ~1949   )      to   deal   with   all   her   stuff   ect   ,      ercole   nabbed   the   sweater   in   her   room   and   he   was   allowed   to   KEEP   IT.

      there’s   a   COUPLE   things   i’d   like   to   point   out   ,      too   :      in   the   movie   ,      the   sweater   itself   seems   VERY   small.      like   ,      not   ercole’s   size   at   all   ,      and   certainly   not   nonna’s   size   either.      i   like   to   think   that   ercole   had   FUCKED   UP   washing   it   when   he   was   younger   because   he   didn’t   trust   the   maids   to   handle   the   sweater   right   ,      so   he   tried   doing   the   laundry   for   it   himself.      unfortunately   ,      he   didn’t   know   QUITE   what   he   was   doing   ,      and   ended   up      SHRINKING      it   quite   a   bit   over   time.      safe   to   say   he   learned   quickly   how   to   PROPERLY   wash   a   wool   sweater   to   keep   its   integrity   very   soon   after   his   realization.

         also   also   ,      it’s   interesting   to   note   how   his   sweater      ((IN   CANON!!))      has   a   bit   of   wear   around   the   sleeves   and   bottom   hem   ..      indicating   it’s   been   well   -   loved.      and   i   think   that’s   neat   :-)      i   think   that   definitely   plays   into   my   headcanons   very   well.      the   only   reason   it   looks   LESS   raggedy   than   it   could   is   just   because   he’s   been   very   protective   of   it   over   the   years.      it’s   a   COMFORT   ITEM   ,      to   be   precise.      it’s   the   one   last   attachment   he   has   to   his   nonna.      he’d   like   to   KEEP   IT   as   pristine   and   perfect   as   he   could   ,      tearing   it   or   damaging   it   anymore   than   need   be   only   tells   ercole   he’s      HURTING      nonna   in   a   sense   ,      and   he   doesn’t   want   that.      so   he   does   his   BEST   to   keep   it   in   good   shape   ,      avoiding   anything   that   could   possibly   DAMAGE   it   ect.

      okay   i’ve   gone   on   for   long   enough   but   ONE   LAST   THING.      please   note   how   ciccio   is   the   first   and   only   person   ercole   seems   to   GO   TO   for   anything   regarding   his   sweater.      he   hands   ciccio   and   ONLY   ciccio   his   sweater   twice   ,      and   ciccio’s   also   seen   with   it   at   the   end   of   the   movie         (      right   before   it’s   dropped   in   the   fking   fountain   but   anyways      )   ..      just      ANOTHER      point   to   feed   into   how   ercole   trusts   ciccio   so   fucking   much.      it’s   never   anybody   else   :’)

I know we haven't had much Camilo / Dulce interactions, but god I bet he would be annoyed with her at all times. I mean: she's his teacher at school AND also his aunt? That means he can't never not do his homework or come up with excuses for missing class... a nightmare.
