THAT’S WHAT I’M SAYIN.  i could talk about this over and over again everyday of my life but like.  ercole didn’t do it out of being EVIL and wanting to kill luca + alberto for being luca and alberto !!   he  was  doing  it  because  THEY’RE  SEA  MONSTERS  !!!!   and frankly ,  had that reward NOT been on the line ,  he wouldn’t have given a shit about hunting sea monsters.  it was always just something secondary to him ,  and he has no business with fishing or anything to do w the sea so it was ??  just nothing to him rlly.  he would’ve left killing a spotted sea monster up to anyone else ,  but he’s a greedy bastard and  NEEDED  to  win  that  reward.   i hate how the movie frames him so evilly.  yeah ,  he’s the villain and all ,  but killing sea monsters was APART of the town.  apart of its history ;; he wasn’t doing it for the hell of it ,  he was doing it and had no PROBLEM with doing it because everyone else does it !!  was his main drive for doing it out of GREED and SELFISHNESS for the reward ?  yes ,  that’s on him ,  but everyone seems to forget that he wasn’t doing it because he felt like murdering them out of nowhere ,  but it was  NORMAL  to kill them !  they were seen as less than human !  everyone was AFRAID of sea monsters and even MASSIMO had the reflex to kill them and had giulia not been there ,  they would’ve been DEAD on the spot.  jsssss.....
