Today I had the honor and privilege of hearing a short message from a civil rights pioneer, Dr. William G. Anderson (DO). Not only was he an inspiring speaker who fought and continues to fight for social change, but he spoke about his friendships with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Ralph Abernathy even before they were known. He shared how being an Osteopathic physician helped him care for every aspect of his patients’ lives — including their civil and social rights. #trulyinspiring #medstudent #medschool #kcu1916 He encouraged us to “make friends where and when you can”. #bethechange (at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences)
