I was thinking, when reading fics where the love interest is really mean, that irl, I couldn't handle that lol. Call me names or insult me and I'll cry, but not in a fun or sexy way. In an insecure sad way. And then I got to thinking. How would different guys react to that.
It reminded me of your suguru who babies reader so much. What if that started like that. Reader and Sugu have a playful friendship and when they get together for the first time he thinks to continue that playfulness fully expecting reader to go along with it and stuff. But instead of that she just starts crying real ass tears looking so so hurt and he just fully panics. It fully awakens his maternal instinct and swears he won't do it again to himself even though he knows he probably will in some capacity so he can soothe and baby more.
