I think they should name the 7 new planets after the 7 cats featured in Kedi, the documentary about the stray cats of Istanbul. Not to wax philosophical about the movie too much but I haven’t been terribly inspired by politics or the resistance this past week. What the artist featured in the film says about Istanbul figuring out a way to cohabitate with cats (solving the “problem” of the stray cats) while reclaiming our sense of humor and joy in life really moved me and that is something that’s been really hard to do over the past couple of months.
