  is roasting me over the fire like an almond on a spit because marshmallows are too soft for our liking here: tender edges get scraped across and set with the copper-green statues that twinkle Charlie all across the farmhouse

so you’ll understand why I never get very excited about Christmas: there are too many weevils in the cereal out here in East Bumblefuck and I’m pretty sure the Méliès DVD has screwed its roots into the TV set it hasn’t moved in years and nor the geometric rug of which we need a new one like the Coven needs a new Supreme, anyway that’s what Ryan Murphy said on this season of American Horror Story though it’s not like I think Jessica Lange ever needs a replacement but the Devlin Ligenza Underhill New Jersey Bumblefuck Coven could probably use a new Supreme or two and new cereal and new slurp-free soup

though from this angle at the kitchen table the poinsettia sprouts from my step-grandfather’s cranium and in the right lighting we can almost pass for a holographic iteration of a family.
