Riverfall (River Reach) in Enshrouded

Enshrouded is my current go-to cozy game I love building in. I floated down here from the top of the waterfalls into River Reach at a measly level eight on the broken bridge. Somehow I managed not to get instantly squished by nearby enemies that were, at least, three times higher in level than my character. After sneaking around for a little bit, I fell hopelessly in love. So I crafted and dropped down a flame altar at the top of the stairs between the water wheels to start despawning the level 48 enemies on the spot. Getting the altar up to level 3 quickly, or at least to level 2, I highly recommend. Also, only one altar is needed to cover the majority of the buildings here. I can't gush about this location enough! The buildings were in ruins, but I saw the potential instantly. A giant, unique waterwheel (that, yes, does provide power to a mill), a forge with actual lava, the views of the floating city every time you come home, the tallest and largest falls in the game, and the Dragon Lake below are all just jaw-dropping.

Enshrouded 1.0 Release Date Announcement

Enshrouded is leaving Early Access and will launch on October 15, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC. Xbox players can expect the game in Spring 2027.

Keen Games' Enshrouded is a survival action-RPG with base building and modifiable terrain. The game can be played solo or in co-op. "You are Flameborn, last ember of hope of a dying race. Awaken, survive the terror of a corrupting fog, and reclaim the lost beauty of your kingdom."

Enshrouded launches October 15 for PS5 and PC, in spring 2027 for Xbox Series - Gematsu

Action RPG survival cooperative crafting game Enshrouded will leave Early Access and launch for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on October 15, followed by Xbox Series in spring 2027, developer Keen Games announced.

Enshrouded first launched in Early Access for PC on January 24, 2024.

“Our team worked tirelessly to launch Enshrouded 1.0 and its exciting new content simultaneously across PC, PlayStation 5, Playstation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S,” said Keen Games CEO Jan Jockel in a press release. “Enshrouded combines large-scale voxel building, fully terraformable worlds, advanced multiplayer systems, and a vast open world in ways that are technically very demanding. As we approached launch, we decided that achieving the level of quality and performance we expect on Xbox would require additional time. We never want to rush a platform release or compromise on quality. Development of the Xbox version is progressing steadily, and we’re planning to bring Enshrouded to Xbox players in spring 2027. Players can look forward to learning much more about Enshrouded 1.0 this summer.”

Initially revealed back on May 3, 2023, Enshrouded has undergone incredible development and systemic updates since its EA launch in January 2024. Since then, eight major content updates have been released, added three new biomes and their accompanying monsters to the game, along with new weapons, armors, creatures, base materials, decorations, and much, much more. Not satisfied with only adding new biomes or monsters, Keen Games made the choice to add dynamic water into the game, no mean feat for a voxel-based adventure game.
