Note to Artists

Don’t look at other artists and say “I wish I was that good” or “I wish I could draw/paint/do whatever you do like that”. Look at those artists, then look at yourself. You’re amazing. It’s said so often, but everyone really is unique. Look at your art and say “I’m amazing. Look what I’ve created. I’m so cool.”

Trust me, it works every time.

Floating along

Man… Don’t ever take inspiration for drawing from what you see people do, alone. If you’re gonna look up to a fellow pencil/pen pusher, look up to them for how they treat other people too. I was reflecting tonight and I came to realize alot of the people I drew inspiration from my more active days on DA have turned out to be complete jerkwads… Sometimes when I doodle now I can still feel myself applying some techniques I used to use to achieve a look that I once really liked… A look I learned from their inspiration… I’m disgusted with myself a great deal of time… Luckily I’ve also come to draw quite a bit of inspiration from people like @pooki3-06 @reds-vault @raenyras @nixlynn & @crunchy-nightmares are just fucking generally awesome people and breathtaking artists on top of that. Thanks for keeping the raft on the river y'all
