Hey, I'm not sure if you've answered this before, but do you have any tips for someone who wants to start running? Any good songs/playlists?
Bunches! I really should have made a masterpost before now so here you go. Hope it’s okay that I posted publicly.
Bear in mind while reading these though that I am not a professional or even a GOOD amateur, I run a 12 minute mile, and my writing on running is usually more focused on the emotional – getting yourself to start, dealing with anxiety and genuine threats to your wellbeing, cheap workarounds so that you aren’t intimidated by pricey shoes &etc, and what has worked for me. While I do talk some about injury and nutrition they are not my strong points. But if you start running you’ll start picking up the rest along the way, especially if you have access to Google and a good bullshit detector.
