My most epic creation yet. No tools, no references, all free flow, 20 hours of work over three days. This was the first spot I created at when I first arrived in Chicago this summer and it is the last spot I'm hitting up before I head back to Texas. My equinox piece. Had to go put something down for the autumn equinox...finally went back to what got me started working with chalk, the #ABCMandala! After getting the ABCs in I continued the #FlowerOfLife or overlapping circles. I started doing this design to highlight the unrivaled symmetry hidden within the Latin Alphabet. The Hu(e)man in the center points out the 5 vowels. Also the three letters shaped like the number 3 have symmetry also...E at the top, the 13th letter M, & the 23rd letter W. Tons more mathematical and geometric oddities or synchronicities show up the more you study it. Doesn't make sense how an alphabet that took 2,000 years to evolve on multiple continents has this symmetry. Study all you want and no other alphabet has these qualities...it has been in this order over 400 years yet somehow it isn't common knowledge. All the colors are on purpose.
