I find it reassuring that #EdwardHopper didn't really start coming into his own as a watercolor and oil painter until his 30s. He didn't do well selling or exhibiting in Paris during his 20a and abandoned the art scene for 5 years. Hopper took up etching and had some success selling prints. It was also here he started developing his style, emphasizing lighting conditions. Many of his celebrated paintings, such as #Nighthawks, were done in his 50s and 60s. Basically this is long winded post about not giving up becaus you've hit a creative roadblock or aren't finding success. Mix things up.
