Today, the volunteer group at Heritage Square (where I volunteer) went on a tour of the Banning Museum and an impromptu tour of the Drum Barracks down the street. It was fun and I learned that the Drum Barracks (one of the last vestiges of the Civil War left in California) were named after a person, not an instrument. #historichouses #tour #keepcurious (at Banning House)
