I did enjoy this visual novel despite one major element and ending pertaining to something I’m really not okay around. 

The story itself features many choices and a couple of different endings, which I do appreciate. I was engaged in the story and related to the protagonist’s struggle though I would never be in those circumstances.  You start off fresh out of the hospital with barely enough money to survive and support your sister. You arrive during the first action of the story, which changes the protagonist’s life forever.

You want to regain the life you had before losing your parents. 

If you do read this VN, please be warned it is very violent and features incest... which will be hinted at regardless of which route is taken. 

Additionally it depicts mental illness and the player character does struggle with that.

Shark Dating Simulator XL

Ever wanted to bang a shark? I haven’t but I do love sharks so I thought I’d check it out. 

It’s very short. The dialogue is silly as is the premise and I do enjoy that, but it’s very short. I understand it’s in early access and this is only the first route available (there are three books that say coming soon in the menu).

There is also significantly more nudity than I’d expected.

However, it lacks the skipping and quick save/quick load features most other visual novels have. Or if the game has it, I couldn’t find it. There is no regular save/load either. To exit the game, you have to right click for two seconds in the options menu which seems excessive considering I’ve never had to do that in another game (ESC doesn’t work).  Overall, it was cheap ($1.09) but I would not buy it again tbh. Probably won’t play it again. I typically don’t buy early access games but I love sharks so much.
