Week One: Routine
I’m trying to find a routine in my life that is beneficial to my spiritual, physical, emotional and mental health. Rigidity is not welcome and leniency is a friend. My hope is to nurture an overall sense of balance and to break beyond the limitations of my being. To gain willpower and energy back.
This month, my short term goals are based around reading His Word, practicing yoga and spinning at the gym. I’m not chasing a weight and I’m not clawing for memorization. I’m just wanting my heart to surrender to the boundless grace that comes from God. To be honest, I’ve gone to church since I was four years years old and have never read the Bible all the way through. So it’s about time that I give the Word a go.
Ever since my ninth grade self discovered yoga, it’s been on my mind but I have not dedicated myself to practice it with consistency. Same with spinning. I’m not much of a runner, but I’ve always found biking to be uplifting. Cycling outside on a trail, reading books while biking at the gym and sharing memorable times with my family. With God as my guide through his journey, I’m curious where I’ll end up! Whatever the direction, I’m excited for these passions He has laid on my heart with such fervency once more. God is good!
Practical goals for the remainder of March:
Read: Finish Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.
Yoga: Physically practice 2-3 days a week.
Spinning: Bike 60 miles (20 miles a week) at the local gym
