singing solo
Today, I led children's choir practice via webex, and sometimes we have them unmute and sing solo.
At the end of the practice, I had one of those moments where I find myself saying things...i dont know where they come from, and it just comes out.
I said, “Children, I know it’s kinda scary when I ask you to sing solo, and I thank you when you do. I can hear how nervous you are. but you must understand this is also for your life. You have to do it!
You sometimes have to stand solo. You are called out, you are children of God. So when you have to show yourself, even if you're afraid, do it. Be brave. For you can be a light, just be yourself. Trust that God will be with you.”
I think it was one of those times, when I needed my duty the most. Students teaching the teachers...etc. etc.
Just felt that I should write it down before I forget it.
