writing flow-january 16, 2017
A flow written about the sky and the spark. Don’t remember what inspired it. Heh
one autumn day the sky decided
he was tired of the cycles of time
that he disliked how it passed by Him
the noise and the restless tides
He felt invisible and uninspired
and decided He would now rest
he banished the warmth away,
so the air would not rise and stay
he then scattered the flock of clouds
to the wild heavens beyond the sea
he folded his hands, closed his windows
and covered the fields with a silence
it was gentle and total, slowly
loneliness crept in like a veil
like snowflakes upon a traveling spark befell
melting into tears, it smothered her
and left her cut off, left to dim
so there she sat, unable to dance
for her breath the sky had taken
all alone, frozen of all motion
barely an ember she yearned
to fight, but her strength subsided
time passed by and she dreamed of home
of the light and vibrance
without the spark, the field grew cold
and the wind ceased to glide
the air grew stifling, the veil covered
and left was the sky and the lonely horizon
without the breeze the birds moved away
along with the bees and their songs
rendered the sound all around lifeless
the earth cracked the earth dry,
the grass grew tired and ceased to climb
the roses closed their buds and lost their sweet smells
the vines shrunk into bony husks
the sight was like a graveyard
with no names or remembrances of who lie there
distressed and grieved, the sky repentant
searched the heaven for her help
but heaven held her breath defiant
the sky felt numb, without a life to guard
a purpose, and felt remorseful
He looked down and searched around
calling out to the spark he choked
Humbly he asked for her help
and her kindness she obliged Him.
hey little spark, if you may help me
ill trade you your warmth for my breath
ill give you this forever, so you may blaze anywhere
ill give you the winds to carry you on
and you can swell according to your wishes
i know now your light is the life to the cycle
your warmth turns the atmosphere,
your heat brings down the waters
your light feeds my fields, and calls the birds
calls the bees to fly and song
and provides my land with vibrance
i know now i am not alone, and i need you, dear
spark, to complete my reason
little spark, little seed of the stars
i’ve come to love and won’t leave you
be my light and ill be your heavens
and feel its just you and the stars
feel my glance upon your flames
