Lifetime band #39, going back in time a little, I was weaving this back in April/May 2021 but I had EXTREME tension problems. Finally I put it away in disgust to solve later. It's Later: January 2022. Wactapunakuy ch'uru - Shells back to back. I think this one weaves even easier and faster than last night's variation on three-pairs. #KeepWeaving #KeepLearning #StudentWeaver #AndeanBackstrap #MemorizedPatterns alt-txt: narrow band in light and dark blue patterns framed in maroon and bright red selvedge stripes. There's a weaving class starting in February, so I took some time to see what was in my stash and warped. I fixed three beginner bands for February then found this awesome handspun in my special stash, warped and ready. Tension was a challenge, but it's ready to weave now. #KeepWeaving #KeepLearning #StudentWeaver alt-txt: a woven strap under tension shows 6 horizontal stripes at the bottom of the image, alternating darker threads and lighter threads, and long stripes vertically of unwoven warp. Outside stripes are dark brown and then orange, center threads are white with a yellow center stripe. In the short woven stripes, pink and black threads appear in the center. I'd saved up to get a few more colors of cone-wool for "adequate enough" yarn stash for my backstrap weaving. I still have to add twist when I buy commercial yarn. Five more warps made for first-time, new weavers. Two not pictured because they are already in the post to Canada. The first one was filled with "I am all thumbs!" moments but I remembered it easily enough after that. Fifth ounce of Lloq'e project yarn is complete, posing here with the previous four ounces.
