I was rather pleased that Poppy’s expression came out pretty much BANG ON the way I’d envisioned it as well. Not really panic but somehow screaming ‘I AM NOT OKAY WITH THIS’ was what I’d been aiming for.

Thanks a lot! I just try to leave it all out there somehow; but action sequences are some of my favourites to make. I think that might show a little bit here.

I had such hope we would learn to know her father ... not only as a memory but now? I was very inlightning to see how Poppy and him were together... and hoped to see more what makke Poppe be like she is...but if Maladi isn't right and he stays a memory... ... well, I very hope she is right ... Yeah, I actually choked up a bit writing this. There’ll be more on this later; but this is a very hard blow for Poppy.

CRIES. POPPY NOOOOO... DA!? THis made me a little bloody sad to be honest, her relationship is beautiful with her da. Im actually misty that she lost him. :( The roof top scenes were great though then parkhour poses came in handy! ;P

I KNOW. I cried over Da as well. I feel so bad for Poppy even though it’s all years ago. You can tell how deeply it’s affected her. Also me: There’s going to be more action from here on out, the plot is finally heating up.

Just had to come back to say Archi should always keep his hair that way!!! Also, I see the glowing hand in that last frame. He’s barely got his magic leashed there!!

Ah, yes. I was wondering if anybody had noticed that. As for the hair, I have a MASSIVE debt of gratitude to @suspiciouslypinklady for helping make Arc look so suave through that scene. 

We’ll have to see if Arc decides to up his game to wearing more hair products on a regular basis in future...

YES!!! My plan is working! You see, I’m trying to get each team to see the perspective of each other. Just so everybody can really see how difficult this is going to be....and ALL the feels will slam home at the end of this story arc.

i have to admit my sean looks pretty good in maxis... i possibly laughed my ass off thru some of that. even though my heart lies with ark in codex, my love for sean roots for him 100%

Oh, Archimedes might end up seeing more things that upset him before the end of the chapter! I hadn’t considered how close to Croft Poppy got until that comment, but...gun harnesses and combat boots, I guess it fits.

This is great, the story, the poses, the editing in photoshop, everything. I don't often read Codex Files with a big smile on my face (normally it's more of a grimace or nail biting) but this was a great way to lure us into a false sense of safety before you do something mean again.

I was pretty pleased with the way this turned out! I think I’ll be exploring more layouts like this in the future to be honest. It’s taking it closer to comic books which is what I’m aiming for here.

I’m just going to address all of this down here. Firstly, everybody acted like grownups today. Sorry if that wasn’t dramatic enough for everybody but this part was actually about addressing several loose ends.

One: Personal space - yes, Jason was encroaching a bit still; but Poppy didn’t look/sound that uncomfortable with it, or he’d probably have backed off. She’s not scared of him despite the fact he’s bigger than her and Jason is a highly tactile person.

Two: Jason apologised. Poppy clarified. Jason accepted her terms, certainly on the surface. 

Three: I’m not sure if it was clear but Archimedes is rather badly hungover from his antics the night before. He’s really in no shape to be launching himself at anything. He was dismayed to find the tableaux before him, checked to make sure Poppy was all right and respected her answer.

Four: The whole team is now informed Adam is going and Jason is going to be training Poppy.

I’m sorry everybody seems to be so disappointed with the story today. I was sort of childishly pleased with Archi’s wordplay and laughed at that myself.

Must be why I like him so much, sharing the demon cack-handed trait.

I just realised that in the upper image, he’s making the gestures with his left hand as well. I actually take time to make his poses left-handed as much as I can as well. He also does things like tending to keep Poppy to his left side rather than right, if you watch him.

There’s a lot of left-handedness in my own family and my son looks like he’s going to be a Southpaw as well! It kinda made sense to me that Archi would be one as well. He’s got that sort of brain if that makes sense.

Yeah, I loved those shots. They looked really candid. I could have easily written them in at another point. I might have to do more scenes on that lot. I’m keeping it as a ‘streets of Edenbruck’ one. It’s got a canal with several bridges strung with lights. It’s really picturesque.
