I was rather pleased that Poppy’s expression came out pretty much BANG ON the way I’d envisioned it as well. Not really panic but somehow screaming ‘I AM NOT OKAY WITH THIS’ was what I’d been aiming for.

Team Jason, but I really felt bad for Arc here!

Excellent. One of my goals for this ‘chapter’ is to get each team to at least empathise a bit with the other. So far, this seems to be working.

Archimedes could have totally rearranged his face. He doesn't like him talking that way about her. Arc is in lurve with Poppy!

Yes. Perhaps rather fatally, Archimedes is in love with Poppy. Arc is also pretty drunk at this stage and very wound up. Archimedes is actually a pretty dangerous person to get on the wrong side of; however, he does realise that Sean’s not really important in the scheme of things. This was more a bit of a things coming to a head for poor Archimedes.

I don't know if I should love or hate Sean XD but I do always love these updates!

Don’t hate Sean! He’s got his own reasons for chasing Poppy around and most of them are pretty callow. Poppy wouldn’t really get deeply involved with him, although if it hadn’t been for that whole confusion over Jason, she might have gone ahead and scratched an itch with him.

This was brillant and soooooo typical for Arc... and Poppy! I also apreciated the fine irony... about ... "blond blokes"... and the whole bar scene. Wonderful chapter!

Yes! Sean isn’t actually bad. He’s a bit callow at times, but he’s having a bit of an off moment as well. This whole scene took place before Sean Hyatt returned to the UK and Chasing Hearts began.

Arc needed somebody to actually get it out of his head a bit. Sean’s not directly involved, somebody he knows isn’t a gossip and well...it sort of happened.

I know I’ve mentioned about Poppy’s faces from time to time, but actually Archimedes has pulled some really brilliant expressions himself over this series...

He does a really good ‘determined’ face and a rather good ‘annoyed’ one as well.

All of this is 100% TRUE as well. Sean decided to wind Arc up with the truth. Of course the way he presented it was calculated to kick Archimedes, but...

Don’t worry, Archimedes isn’t stupid. He’s piecing it together a bit. He’s already aware that he’s miscalculated dreadfully.

Arc’s worst problem right now is actually his tendency to overthink things.

Actually, Sean wasn’t really looking for a confession. He came back down to the bar to see if there were any women. Sean’s a bit wound up himself now. Fortunately he’s nowhere near as picky as Archimedes. He’ll probably manage to sort himself out at the club.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say ‘perfect’. Archimedes is prone to a few flaws. However he does do his best. He would ask you to tell Poppy he’s perfect though.

Issue 47 Replies

Bit of an in-between sort of issue this time, but it ties things up a bit, crossover-wise and plot-wise...

Oho! I even sorry for Jason ... when Poppy finds out! And that she may... soon I suspect! But what for a passive ward? Amazing how the crossover worked! ♥♥♥

Thank you! @thespangleway and I had a lot of fun with the crossover and this probably won’t be the last time!

Passive ward is just a sort of subtle protection. Bit like donning a metaphysical stab vest. Arc’s hackles got raised by a guy he realised was probably a dangerous sort (and he’s not wrong, but Zero wasn’t there for him or Poppy).

And yes. Jason is in for a world of pain.

Ah, yes. I was wondering if anybody had noticed that. As for the hair, I have a MASSIVE debt of gratitude to @suspiciouslypinklady for helping make Arc look so suave through that scene. 

We’ll have to see if Arc decides to up his game to wearing more hair products on a regular basis in future...

i have to admit my sean looks pretty good in maxis... i possibly laughed my ass off thru some of that. even though my heart lies with ark in codex, my love for sean roots for him 100%
