she brings colour to his otherwise grey existence, makes him believe in a society he abandoned years ago. she gives him hope, and he cares about her despite his somewhat cold, gruff mannerisms and he wants to protect her. she’s the one person he’d trust with a situation as big as the one they’re handling and it takes a while to open up to her but he eventually does and she comes to trust him despite the fact that he’s a Shade and should be untrustworthy bye
Kelladis and Visoren
he keeps her on her toes, she keeps him in line. she doesn’t care that he’s a god, that he’s been alive for thousands of years, that people worship and fear him. he respects her and coming from a vain, self-absorbed god, that’s REALLY IMPORTANT
Kelladis and Rusill Bray
big rough, foul-mouthed brawler of a man, but he tries SO HARD to be a gentleman in her presence because he knows that’s what she deserves. they’re almost exact opposites: he left a life of privilege to get his hands dirty with the common people, and she clawed her way to the top despite her roots, and they both have an enormous amount of respect for each other because of their choices

she’s a fighter and he’s an intellectual, but despite all their differences in upbringing they stand as equals and are willing to see each other as such. since she’s used to being scorned by the upper class this gives her so much more respect for him, and he respects her strength and discipline and determination. also he tries so hard to be smooth but she’s always smoother lol sorry silas, kell is better than you’ll ever be (and doesn’t he know it)
