LMAO Dominique Dawes has spoken out against her time at Hill's and with USAG and Kelli Hill has scrubbed Dom's name from her website. (And she couldn't even be bothered to spell Larissa Fontaine's name correctly)

Kelli Hill, one of the longest standing members of the US elite coaches old guard announced she’s retiring.  Two months ago Dominique Dawes, one of her most famous gymnasts and someone she described as being like a daughter went on a podcast and talked about how controlling and emotionally abusive Hill was when she was living with her.  

Hill is currently the chair of the International Elite Committee, which writes all the procedures for the US Women’s National Program.  Who will replace her is a big deal, and it’s almost certainly picked by the other elite coaches.  Which means it will be someone terrible.

Watch this space.  This is a big deal.

Dominique Dawes has requested to be removed from all of Hill's media/marketing.

This is in response to this post I made about Dom's name on Hill's website.

This actually makes a lot of sense and thanks for telling me. It's still hilarious that Kelli Hill chose the sloppiest way to take her name off the website. A much easier and less obvious way to do it would have been to say something like

"Hill's has sent multiple gymnasts to Olympics and World Championships from 1992 through the present. These gymnasts include Larissa Fontaine, Elise Ray, Courtney Kupets, Corrie Lothrop and Kayla DiCello."

R.I.P. Kelli

It's hard to believe it's been a month (and a couple days) since @banana-soul finished her journey on earth. She's no longer in any pain, she's on her new journey in the afterlife. She can eat poptarts all day long and will get to try every flavor imaginable. She's taking care of all of the pets we've lost and is at peace. While this is comforting, it still doesn't make everything ok. Her family lost a beautiful daughter and sister. Even though I never met Kelli, I just kept up with her on here and chatted with her a bit, I think about her everyday. Sometimes something unexpectedly good will happen and I'll feel Kelli's presence. She inspires me to live every day to the fullest and be kind to everyone. R.I.P. Kelli. Banana-Soul - Kelli

It is with great sadness that I send my prayer to the family and friends of @banana-soul.

I haven’t been on Tumblr much in the past few days and got on just a moment ago. I was logging in with the intent to message Kelli that my dog Kaspar had reached 11 years old, only to find that her best friend had taken to her blog to update her followers that she had peacefully passed away on October 21st.

Kelli and I would update each other on little milestones and fun little goofy things going on, what wildlife we saw outside, pet birthdays, what our favorite TV show currently was, our favorite songs, and sometimes our celebrity crushes haha

As far as internet friendships go and as seriously, or lightly, as people may take them, she was one of my best internet friends. She was my favorite “happy blog” and she always made me smile with her funny, outgoing and positive replies to messages.

She handled everything so well and stayed positive throughout her battle with cancer. In my opinion, she deserves to be called an honorary cancer survivor. She kicked it’s ass for many years, which is hard to do, as I witnessed in my family. I see my Grandmother as an honorary cancer survivor, even though she passed away. She outlived all of the doctor’s expectations because she loved life and her family.

You have to want to live and live for something.

You’ll be remembered sweet angel.

Today, 21st of October 2015, Kelli aka @banana-soul earned her wings. I remember the day I saw her post about wanting to meet Ellen. I was the happiest person ever when she finally met her and made her biggest wish come true. My favorite gif I’ve ever done was Kelli hugging Ellen.

I’ve been following her journey for over two years now. I was lucky enough to chat with her a few times. She made me smile all the time. Her blog was always an inspiration full of yummy foods, cutest animals, the most beautiful locations and most importantly, her pretty little face. I’m just upset that I’ll never get to see those sky blue eyes in real life, but I’m sure she’s looking right into earth with those. 

I know you’re at peace now Kelli. I hope you’ll eat a lot of Pop Tarts wherever you are. Maybe you’ll get to have unlimited bananas and peanut butter! Nachos? Yummy! Hope you’re spending time with thousands of baby elephants and puppies. I’m sure you’re not in pain anymore, fuck cancer, as you always said. 

I’m going to remember you forever. You’ll always be my sweet little pea. Your strength will keep giving you hope. I’m sorry that I never sent you a letter, I know I promised to send one. I’m really, really sorry. 

But I want to remember your pretty face today and forever.
