I think the whole thing with the joker is that he’s supposed to make you uncomfortable. He’s nuts.
see i get that and i definitely feel the level of creep they’re going for, but there’s just something else there that they aren’t going for, and that’s where i’m feeling extra uncomfortable. like he surpasses the creep factor they wanted and just goes too far? at least for me, personally. it makes me miss the dark knight trilogy even more, because even though that third movie missed the mark big time, the first two were exactly what batman movies should be. those movies raised the bar so high and now dc’s falling short of that level and it’s making their movies seem even more disappointing because we know what they could be making instead. we’ve seen dc at the top of their game and now they’re just... not.
that being said, suicide squad does look really good. hopefully the joker’s not in it too much (pls).
