Fun Fact: High atmospheric pressure affects the bubbles in your coffee. If the bubbles are closer to the center, expect rain or stormy weather.
This is a really interesting fact for someone who serves coffees on a daily basis! Awesome :D

Got your RSJ Birthday Project submission. Thanks! It looks AWESOME. <3 <3 <3
^_^ Thanks for letting me know! And thank you! Omg!! <3 <3
Hi. I'm not sure if your comment on my post "You know what?" was specifically directed at me or if you were commenting on the Euclase situation in general. That's the problem with the internet, a lot of context can get lost in text. Anyways, I hope you understand that I DO care about Euclase as a person, even if that particular post didn't expand on that. I'm not looking to argue with you or stir something up, just wanted to make that clarification since I've been getting criticized now too.
Aww, no no! It was just a general comment of "she is more than her art" but I wasn't meaning that you only thought of her for that. I never assumed that. I'm sorry if my post made it seem like I did. And I'm so sorry if you're getting any kind of negativity for it too. You don't deserve it, you just wanted to honor her art and I think that's wonderful. I"m sorry again for the confusion! I hope that you have a wonderful day/night! <3
Here are the rules: 1: Always post the rules. Rule 2: Answer the questions the person who tagged you asked, and write 11 new ones. Rule 3: Tag 11 people and link them to the post. Rule 4: Actually tell them you tagged them. (kittyinabeaker tagged me)
1) Have you ever been arrested? Feel free to expand. ;-)
No, but sometimes I wish I lived an interesting enough life to get arrested. The closest I've ever really come was on my 16th birthday.I threw this awesome dance party at my house, so we were blasting music pretty loudly. because dance party.
Now, I live down a long driveway so we're pretty far away from the street and echoes like a bitch in the back. So that the neighbors on the street behind mine hear us more than those on my actual street. Legally you can't make noise like that past 10 so that was when the party was supposed to end. But 5 mins til 10 the cops show up and tell us to shut off the music. Turns out somebody from the street behind us had called the cops and complained about the noise, but the cops couldn't find my house since the noise didn't reach the street. They had been looking for like 20 mins before they decided to check that random driveway for the heck of it.
And that's the story of why the cops shut down my birthday party 5 mins before it ended.
2) If you could have anyone locked in a room and torment them for a day, whom would you choose and how would you torment them? (Keep it light, guys!)
Honestly, I'm not the type for revenge. If I have a problem with someone, I just really want them to go away and leave me alone. How's that for non-confrontational?
Right now the best (harmless) torture I can come up with right now, is to tie my best friend to a chair and tell her in great detail everything that is going to happen in Supernatural.
She's only on season 1 and avoids spoilers like the plague, I can't even vaguely hint at or nonspecifically mention things that happen to other people who watch spn while in her presence.
So yes, I would spoil the shit out of supernatural for my best friend. That would be my torture for the day.
3) What is your WPM typing speed?
47 wpm, according to this website I just googled, which is apparently on the higher side of average.
4) Do you have an embarrassing memory that you physically cringe at when you recall it? Once again, feel free to expand.
Yes. I used to be apart of a comedy improv group (Comedy Sportz) at my high school. I was pretty good with weekly practice and frequent workshops, but then I graduated and left for college. During one of my breaks tho, they held an alumni vs current team members match. Overall, it was a great match and I did well. But there was a challenge that used the theme puppets and I thought it would be really clever to sneak off my sock, put it on my hand, pull my shirt over my head and do the skit that way. But I totally ignored what everyone else was doing and completely shut down one of my teammates who was going to pretend to be my marionette puppeteer. I cringe every time I think about this because the first rule they teach in improv is to always build upon what you teammate is saying, never reject what they are doing. But one of the first things I did when I came back was break this cardinal rule like a goddamn rookie.
Uuuuggggggghhhhhhhhhh, so embarrassing. to me, probably not to anyone else
5) Do you think Lipton employees are allowed to take coffee breaks?
Yes, but that's mostly because I use the word coffee as an all-inclusive term. For example, when my dad asks me do you want to go get coffee? I say yes, and then we drive to Starbucks and I order a chai tea latte. "Do you want to go get coffee?" is easier to say than "do you want to go get tea or coffee or a beverage of your choice?"
tl;dr "Coffee" = break for anything caffeinated
6) Do you have a favorite memory of a teacher? Expand as necessary. :)
This doesn't actually feel like a memory because it only happened a couple of months ago but whatever. It's my Comm professor. I signed up for his Public Speaking class, just as I was recovering from rather severe depression and anxiety. And I can honestly say I would not be the well-balanced mentally healthy person I am now without him. On the first day of class, he starts talking about how the number one fear in America is public speaking, and goes on to explain all the ways your body reacts to that fear - shaking, sweaty palms, quickened breathing, you know -
Now the public speaking classes I've tried to take in the past and pretty much any school teacher giving tips on giving speeches has told me that you need to get rid of these things. You must stop yourself from acting out like this. If you've every had anxiety problems like me, you know how stupid it is for someone to tell you to just stop when you're having a panic/anxiety attack. It doesn't work that way. But that is the advice that everyone gives you for public speaking. It's shit and it's always made me feel like shit for being unable to follow it.
But this professor he tells the class that this is all perfectly normal, and in fact, the sweating, the shaking, the stuttering, they are all good signs. They are simply your body's way of preparing you for something. Nervousness is a good thing because it means you're alive.
The next thing he tells us it that he doesn't want to change us, he just wants to help us find the greatness that is already there. It just needs a little bit of help. And we're going to do that my turning off that broken record in our heads, you know the little voice that constantly lists all the terrible things about you. Everyone's is different - for example mine was 'You are a failure. you can't get anything right' - but everyone has one. Negativity on repeat in your head. And my professor says we're going to work on turning that off.
THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED. HIS CLASS WAS HOW I FINALLY GOT OVER MY DEPRESSION AND WAS FINALLY ABLE TO CONQUER MY ANXIETY.
After several years of having absolutely no self-esteem and no confidence, I walked away from his class with a healthy amount of both. And for the first time in like ever, I'm really genuinely happy.
If I could force everyone in the world to take his class, I would.
7) If you were a road sign, what would you say? (Use an actual road sign and explain, please!)
My life is carefully organized chaos, that is impenetrable to anyone else. To the poor soul who wants to figure out what I'm doing with my life/time/energy, good fucking luck.
8) Ever met Richard Speight Jr.? (Or any member of the SPN cast really) What were the circumstances?
no. but I really want to.
9) If you could create your own GISHWHES (scavenger hunt) task, what would it be?
Make a bunch of flower crowns and hand them to people at an organization of your choice - soup kitchen, women's shelter, Veteran's hospital, etc. - and for every crown you hand out, knight that person as the ruler of their flower kingdom because their beauty is so deserving of it.
Because I recently discovered they are relatively easy to make and hugely fun to wear around house. They make me feel pretty even while wearing yesterday's clothes and no shower.
Everyone deserves a flower crown.
10) If you could have been a child prodigy, what would have been your skill?
Solving puzzles.
Which is actually half-true. My mom works in special education and one of her coworkers/friends needed to test one of their new evaluation tests. So my mom volunteered me, ya know, your average toddler to give her some nice average results to check for kinks in the test.
but SURPRISE! I actually scored much, much higher than normal when it came to solving visually-based puzzles. To give you an example, you know those riddles where they use pictures to spell out sentences? I'm the fucking bomb at that.
Too bad that has no real world use. except for the part where it's important in filmmaking and i'm going to become a director
11) Would you ever come to San Jose/Salinas and come visit me? I just moved cross country and am always looking for new friends! *waves*
If I was going on a road trip up the california coast, absolutely. I would try to stop by and say hello. Otherwise, probably not since I live in San Diego, and that's like a 7 hour drive. :/
