Olicity + Mutants AU

oh shit

Oliver would be Wolverine. I mean... You can’t take that away from me.

That doesn’t mean Felicity is Jane. No. Felicity’s a shapeshifter. She can shift into everything and everyone, with just a touch. 

Which, ya know, makes it a bit awkward at first. Cause she meets Oliver about 10 times, in different skins. It goes the same way every time: he’s closed off at first, tries to tell her to fuck off, but when she doesn’t, he seems to like her. Tolerate her, at least.

Then there’s an alien attack on Starling City, these gruesome creatures that bleed black goo. Oliver’s fighting in the middle of them, of couse, and Felicity rushes to his side, the first time in her own skin. Who the hell are you?, he asks. In response, she touches his wrist and shapeshifts into him, claws and all. I’m you, she says. I’m also a friend so, duck! He ducks, and Felicity slashes at the alien that was going to stab Oliver in the back. They fight together, back to back, and deal with the aliens. Then they go out for coffee, and Felicity comes clean, and Oliver is mildly annoyed at being played.

The next time they have to fight side by side, Oliver extends his hand for Felicity to touch before she gets to say anything. 

It keeps happening. Not just the fighting, but the drinks in bars and coffees and lunches and you know how the story goes from now on. 

The most important thing though, was that Oliver never onced asked Felicity to change her appearence. He didn’t care if she showed up for a date looking like a goth with a lip piercing or a supermodel with blonde hair, but when they were together, he liked her skin the most. Asked her, politely and hesitantly, to keep it on.

And then BARRY comes along! Fangirling as well like ‘oh my god I met Supergirl and she’s like the coolest thing ever! She’s cooler than me and Oliver combined!’

And Oliver just sits there, sulking, listening to the both of them fangirl hard about Supergirl. And he’s super jealous and Digg keeps laughing at him, telling him ‘it’s fine, Oliver, I’m sure they’ll stop soon enough’.

And they do stop, and Felicity tells him something like ‘even if you can’t fly, I still love you the most’.

And a couple of months later, when Oliver meets Supergirl, he doesn’t actually fangirl over her. But he thinks she’s very very very cute and adorable. And he tells her ‘my girlfriend is completely in love with you’, and Oliver laughs, because he can’t decide who’s blushing harder, Felicity or Supergirl.
