thank god no one here is a kitlora hater but I'm stating my thoughts anyway: generally? a lot of people that ship kitlora in addition to tanthamore treat jade as a person better than tanthamore-only's. some of y'all don't really see jade as a whole and complete character and person. do you like jade? or do you like that she likes kit? do you acknowledge that she has her own wants and desires outside of her relationship? or do you view her character and clearly portrayed vibrant personality simply in terms of what it can do for kit?

generally, in spaces where the shipping is more open, it's a lot easier to discuss jade as a whole character without the meta discussion inevitably circling back to kit and how it compares to kit and how kit likes this and kit likes that- and then the conversation was never about jade in the first place. it goes a lot further than patting yourself on the back for picking the "right" ship you know. you actually have to confront your internal biases and try to see jade as a human being and not just an adage to her girlfriend. same goes with casual racism towards the boner reavers as a whole!
