Photos of Marc Bolan and Steve Peregrin Took performing as Tyrannosaurus Rex, taken on the set of German television show 4-3-2-1 Hot and Sweet on September 3, 1968. The episode was broadcast on September 14, 1968 but  the show footage is lost. It’s said this gig was booked by David Bowie's manager at the time, Ken Pitt.

Brian Epstein knew nothing about management, which was a great advantage because he was managing artists who knew nothing about the business either. The Beatles were new and revolutionary and it was right that the person who represented them should also be an innocent at large. He was a very charming man who worked very, very hard in those months when he came down from the North to try and interest people in London. I liked Brian Epstein very much. When I was launching Manfred Mann, we did a show with the Beatles at Wembley and Brian walked right across the arena to tell me how good Manfred Mann was.

Bowie Bureau was an unofficial David Bowie fan club that was started in 1976 (if I remember correctly) by some fans in the Isle of Wight who were unhappy with his official fan club at the time. Anyone could join and get a copy of their monthly newsletter by sending them a SAE. I found out about it via Tony Drayton's Ripped & Torn fanzine in 1978.... This issue of BB includes an interview with Bowie's ex-manager Ken Pitt (which originally appeared in Ripped & Torn), as well as the usual selection of Bowie trivia. There's also an order form for some exclusive photos of Bowie and a page of ads by fans seeking Bowie bootlegs, Bowie memorabilia and other Bowie fans....
